The VC Emergency Services online dashboard (bottom of pg1 at the above link) is a 24hr emergency incident reporting tool to keep you updated on the status of emergency situations that may require using alternate routes of travel, sheltering in place or evacuation orders. Also of course announcements by emergency services of the lifting of such orders (and the opening of temporarily-closed driving routes).
In addition to 911 and your normal emergency response agencies, here is an interactive, real time mapping resource for such things as local and State burn scar areas, mud flow & debris fields, areas at risk for flash flooding (etc.).
