When Gov. Jerry Brown called for a voluntary, 25% reduction in water use during a drought in 1977, he replaced a pitcher of water at a news conference with a cup.

“We have only one glass of water,” Brown said at the time, “which is an indication of our effort here.”

Decades later and in another drought, Brown on Wednesday ordered water reductions of 25 percent in cities and towns across the state. This time, the order was mandatory, not voluntary. And no glass of water.

Instead, Brown’s prop was a pole.

In a windbreaker and hiking boots in a dry meadow in the Sierra Nevada, Brown joined state water officials Wednesday for a measurement of the state’s meager snowpack. They brought a pole marking accumulations from previous visits.

This year is historically bad, as Frank Gehrke, chief of snow surveys for the California Department of Water Resources, demonstrated here:

Brown’s appearance at the snowpack survey was a first for a California governor, according to the administration. Brown has come under increasing pressure to act as the state enters its fourth year of drought, and he has made himself more visible on the issue in recent weeks.

Some of these steps are small. While Gehrke was speaking to reporters Wednesday, a microphone fell to the ground.

It was Brown who bent and picked it up.

You can find articles and debates in which scientists are proposing to “dim” the sun to slow down climate change, using a technique called “Solar Radiation Management” (SRM). Their concept is to mimic the dimming and cooling effects of a volcanic eruption and existing particulate pollution made by human activity. However, it has been out of the proposal stage for quite some time, and even though officials will not admit it, SRM is already in full-scale operation.

SRM sounds like a viable solution to slowing climate change, and scientists have repeated how “cheap” it is over and over again. But it comes with a price. In fact, it comes with many.

Global climate engineering/geoengineering programs are radically disrupting weather patterns, disrupting the hydrological cycle (causing drought in some areas, flooding others), destroying the ozone layer, and contaminating the entire planet with the toxic fallout from these atmospheric spraying operations.

Climate engineering programs have been fully deployed for many years. There is a mountain of hard science data and film footage to back up this statement of fact.

GEOENGINEERING

Geoengineering is the artificial modification of Earths climate systems through two primary ideologies, Solar Radiation Management (SRM) and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR)\

SOLAR RADIATION MANAGEMENT (SRM) or ‘Global Dimming’

Controlling (or ‘dimming’) sunlight (via atmospheric application of aerosol particulates) before it reaches the planet.

Tom Wigley calculated the impact of injecting sulfate particles into the stratosphere in amounts equal to those lofted by the volcanic eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991, but did not address the many technical and political challenges involved. If found to be economically, environmentally and technologically viable, such injections could provide a “grace period” of up to 20 years before major cutbacks in greenhouse gas emissions would be required, he concludes. This would typically be achieved using sulfide gases such as dimethyl sulfide, sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbonyl sulfide & the highly-lethal orhydrogen sulfide (H2S). These compounds would be delivered using artillery, aircraft (such as the high-flying F15C) or balloons, and result in the formation of compounds with the sulfate anion SO42-.<br>According to estimates by the Council on Foreign Relations, “one kilogram of well placed sulfur in the stratosphere would roughly offset the warming effect of several hundred thousand kilograms of carbon dioxide.”

CHEMTRAILING

Chemtrailing is the generic term for the artificial modification of Earths climate systems using reflective nano-materials (aerosols) to reflect sunlight, dispersed via jet aircraft trails that expand into reflective artificial clouds.
